Who we are

Code Labs Alliance (“we”, “us”) designs, builds, secures and supports technology from offices in Harare and Gaborone, and runs The Code Labs Academy. We process personal information in line with Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07], Botswana’s Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the EU GDPR.

What we collect

• Details you give us — your name, organisation, email, phone number and the message you send through our quote, Academy or chat forms.
• Learner information — for Academy enrolments, the learner’s name, age band and programme. For children, this comes from a parent or guardian.
• Website usage — we count page views per day without tracking cookies, without storing IP addresses and without identifying you.
• Security records — short-lived technical logs that protect the website from abuse.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and deliver the services or programmes you ask for.
• To send quotes, invoices, receipts and project updates you are expecting — by email or WhatsApp.
• To keep our website and systems secure.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

How we protect it

Information is stored on secured servers with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, two-step sign-in for staff, tamper-evident audit logs and tested backups. Only people who need the information to do their job can see it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t become projects are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised. Client and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business — such as hosting, email and payment providers — under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep forms and the secure staff area working. It contains no personal information and expires after your visit or session.
